Frontier Events is a Certified B Corporation!

We are thrilled to announce that Frontier Events has achieved its B Corporation certification, joining a growing group of impact companies that are pursuing purpose as well as profit. Frontier Events has been certified by the B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, having met rigorous social and environmental standards. Frontier Events is committed to goals that benefit a greater purpose as well as profit.

The B Corp certification addresses the entirety of a business’ operations, looking at may impact pillars including Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. Frontier Events is now part of a 7000+ global community including well-known brands such as The Guardian, Patagonia and many more.

Frontier Events Is 1% For The Planet Certified

We believe that every business should have a positive impact beyond profit, and work hard for the planet and for the people around us. We are keen for our Shows to generate positive impact wherever they can, helping people to live more sustainably across the UK, and so we recognise that we also need to do our bit.

We are delighted to be a signatory of 1% For The Planet, which obliges us donate 1% of our revenue to environmental and social causes.

The Power of Events

The UK events industry is worth a whopping £42billion and employs over 500,000 people. This multi-billion dollar industry is currently generating awful externalities on the environment, including enormous quantities of single use plastic waste, non-recyclable exhibition booths, and temporary activation experiences, all destined for landfill.

We believe that the events industry can exist for positive impact. At all our events, we employ a circular mindset to ensure our shows are either fully sustainable, or actively generating positive impact.

Venues: We will only work with venues with strong environmental credentials. Ideally, they will already be carbon neutral, with all their energy from 100% renewable resources, and 0% of waste going to landfill.

Exhibition stands: To reduce our environmental impact, we use in-house exhibition stands wherever possible. We also encourage clients to utilize the Octanorm shell-scheme system, which allows for re-use between shows.

Branding & Printing: We only engage suppliers with the ability to print on fully recyclable or upcycled materials. We re-use brand and print work from previous events wherever possible, including displays, hanging banners, lanyards and postering.

Plastics: No single use plastic is allowed at any of our Shows. All attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors are required to stick to this rule, which is enforced rigorously at each event.

Waste: All waste generated at out events is separated on site, with as little sent to landfill as possible. Food waste is donated to external partners that in turn distribute to people in need.

Travel: Offsetting programmes are set-up at every event. Our B2C shows only target a local demographic, who are encouraged to travel as eco-friendly as possible.
